This course develops the skills required to competently interpret UK Call Data Records (CDRs) for evidential and intelligence purposes. Through a blend of online learning and practical classroom exercises, delegates learn how to cleanse, normalise, and manually analyse communications data in line with forensic best practice and the FSR Code of Practice (DIG-200).
The course focuses on building confidence in CDR interpretation across all UK networks, understanding evidential limitations, and clearly explaining findings within a forensic and investigative context.
You’ll learn:
Fundamentals of cellular networks and CDR generation
Manual interpretation of voice, SMS, and data records across UK networks
Cleansing and normalising raw CDR datasets
Interpretation of data sessions, DDRs, and network-specific record structures
