Course Overview:
Designed for experienced RF Technicians or those looking to develop their knowledge, this Level 2 course explores advanced RF parameters and network signalling data to enhance the evidential value of surveys. Kit-agnostic in approach, it focuses on data parameters from SDR-based surveys, Layer 3 decoding, and System Information Blocks (MIBs/SIBs).
Key Topics:
SDR data interpretation and layer 3 decoding
Understanding and interpreting key Master and System Information Blocks (MIBs/SIBs)
RF network behaviour: handovers, reselection, and idle mode observations
Advanced cell planning considerations and enhanced mapping strategies
Presenting RF evidence and defending analysis under cross-examination
Pre-Requisites:
Aimed at experienced RF Technicians who have practical experience conducting surveys and a working knowledge of RF concepts. An understanding of mobile network principles and cellular terminology is essential.
